Originally from Poland, Ms. Oginski was attracted to Aspen because of the vibrancy of the international resort town. She was confident that the town’s savvy shoppers would appreciate the rigorous training and creative talent of Polish designers: they’re "mostly from Fashion and Art institutes" and their limited collections are primarily "made by very small, mostly home-based manufacturers."
With previous experience working at designer boutiques like Dior, Ms. Oginski has become a discerning clothier when it comes to discovering the latest fashion from Poland. Her selections are often accented with studious details that impart an artistic flair to the garment. The impact of oversize pockets, adjustable ties, and dramatic collars differentiates Faboo from mainstream brands, and techniques such as cutting linen tops on the bias and attaching handmade embellishments to jackets appeals to well-informed clients who admire the details and like that the clothing isn't "attached to any fashion trend."
Faboo attracts women who enjoy shopping at independent boutiques. The unusual silhouettes spark their curiosity and most are eager to try on the outfits Ms. Oginski recommends for them, “It makes me very happy when the woman is open for change and likes to experiment with different styles.” Several of the tops are versatile enough to be paired with wardrobe basics like leggings and wide belts. Also, the loose fit is so comfortable that many women purchase their favorite top in multiple colors.

Building personal relationships with clients is essential to the Faboo philosophy of ensuring that clients feel good wearing the clothes. It’s important for clients to “trust my expertise,” says Ms. Oginski, who is grateful that clients occasionally request her assistance with updating their wardrobes. “I have women inviting me into their closets to tell them what to get rid of.”
Having recently moved to a new location, Ms. Oginski is looking forward to procuring many seasons of fabulous fashion for Faboo. She's inspired by the creative process of working with designers and interacting with clients in the boutique and online: "I have a great passion to dress women," asserts Ms. Oginski, especially the one she hopes to meet someday: “my dream would be to dress Oprah--I am a great fan of her OWN network.”
